FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say a 20-year-old man is behind bars after a police chase and crash Tuesday morning.
Around 7:20 a.m., an officer reported spotting the suspect, Daniel Lee Graham, Jr., driving a Kia Forte that had been reported as stolen just before 5:30 a.m. on the 5600 block of Squiredale Lane. The vehicle had no license plate at the time.
When the officer tried to stop Graham, a pursuit began. Police say after a brief chase, Graham crashed into a fire hydrant at Arapaho Trail and Picacho Drive.
Police now say Graham has been preliminarily charged with resisting law enforcement and auto theft, both level six felonies.

The Fort Wayne Police Department investigated a stolen vehicle: burgundy Kia Forte that occurred early this morning at 5:27am at 5600 Squiredale Ln. A vehicle matching that description, with no license plate was seen by a FWPD Sergeant in the area of Lima Rd. and W. Washington Center Rd around 7:23am. The Sergeant attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle and the vehicle fled. FWPD Officers pursued the vehicle east into Allen County where the Suspect crashed into a fire hydrant at Arapaho Passover and Pichcho Trail. The Suspect was taken into custody without incident.
