FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department says a fire sparked a response Sunday morning in a vacant home. Crews responded around 4:50 a.m. to the 400 block of West Paulding Road.
It took crews about 20 minutes to get the fire under control.
No one was inside at the time of the fire, according to FWFD. The home suffered heavy smoke and fire damage. No one was injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

FWFD crews quickly responded to a call about a neighbor’s house on fire early this morning. Heavy fire and smoke were found upon arrival. Searches indicated nobody was inside, and firefighters extended several hoselines to the second floor and attic space for extinguishment. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. AEP, FWPD, TRAA, and NCE all made the scene to assist.
