FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says that a man is now facing charges after he allegedly shot his pregnant wife. On Monday,
Officers with the FWPD were initially called to the 4000 block of Nadina Cove around 12:30 p.m. where they found a woman who had been shot. She was taken to the hospital where physicians said her condition was life-threatening.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred April 15th, 2024 at roughly 12:34 PM at a residence on the 4000 block of Nadina CV. FWPD officers located an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound at the residence. She was rendered care and transported to a local hospital by TRAA in critical condition. While at the hospital she was downgraded to life threatening condition. FWPD officers detained an adult male at the scene and he is being interviewed by Detectives. It is unknown at this time the circumstances leading to the shooting.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Police said on Tuesday that 25-year-old Terry Lee Sowles Jr. was also at the residence and was arrested and released the following:
Terry Lee Sowles Jr. was arrested in connection to the shooting that occurred at a residence on the 4000 block of Nadina Cove on April 15th, 2024 around 12:34 PM. He was detained by police at the scene and arrested after he was interviewed by detectives on April 15th, 2024 at roughly 4:26 PM.

Preliminary Charges: Domestic Battery in presence of a Child, Level 6 Felony; Aggravated Battery, Level 3 Felony; Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon, Level 6 Felony; Domestic Battery Causing Bodily Injury to a Pregnant Woman, Level 5 Felony; Domestic Battery Causing Serious Bodily Injury, Level 5 Felony; and Domestic Battery with a Deadly Weapon, Level 5 Felony.
