FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Fire Department officials say that three adults were able to get out of a house fire on Warsaw Street Wednesday night.
Crews were called around 11:40 p.m. to a home on the 3900 block of Warsaw. When they arrived, they could see flames through a second-story window.
It took about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. The fire damage was mostly contained to a bedroom. However, officials say the home suffered moderate smoke, water, and fire damage.
According to the FWFD, there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

FWFD was dispatched on a residence fire. Upon Battalion Chief arrival found obvious working fire from 2nd floor window. Fire crews simultaneously searched and pulled a line to the second floor for fire extinguishment. 3 adults had escaped the fire and nothing else was found on a complete search of the residence. Fire was brought under control quickly with most of the fire damage contained to one bedroom upstairs. There was, however, heavy smoke damage to the entire upstairs. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. FWFD was assisted by AEP, NIPSCO, Neighborhood Code, Red Cross and TRAA as well as FWPD.
