FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says one person is facing charges after a dispute at a southwest restaurant Monday. Police were called just after 2 p.m. when someone reported a disturbance involving two men and a woman at the Illinois Road Popeyes.
The FWPD says that at some point Marchello Middleton, 42, hit a male victim with his vehicle – pinning him against the restaurant before fleeing the scene. The man who was hit was taken to the hospital but is expected to survive.
Middleton was arrested a short time later off Bass Road. He now faces several charges.
The Fort Wayne Police Department released the following:
FWPD officers responded to a report of a battery in progress at Popeyes on Illinois Rd. at roughly 2:02 PM Tuesday Dec.11th. Officers encountered a domestic disturbance between two men and a woman. One of the men got into a vehicle and hit the other man with the vehicle, pinning him between the vehicle and restaurant. The man who was hit, was taken to a local hospital in non-life threatening condition. The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended a short time at approximately 3:10 PM in the area of 4000 Bass Rd.
