FWPD: 4 pounds of meth found during traffic stop

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say one man is behind bars for drug charges after a traffic stop on Wednesday night at Washington and Hanna.
Around 11 p.m., detectives in the Gang & Violent Crimes Unit were on patrol when they attempted to initiate a traffic stop for speeding on Washington and Hanna St. The suspect vehicle initially did not stop and detectives believed they had a vehicle pursuit. It eventually pulled over and detectives approached.

The driver was identified as Justin Lewis, 18. During a search of the suspect car, Detectives located 4 pounds of methamphetamine in a back pack, as well as digital scales and additional narcotics trafficking paraphernalia. Lewis was booked at Allen County Lockup and charged with dealing methamphetamine, a level 2 felony, due to the substance quantity.
