INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s governor says the state is ready for whatever comes next week. Governor Holcomb didn’t get into specifics about security measures he is taking at the state Capitol ahead of possible protests during inauguration week.
The FBI is warning that some of those protests could become violent. Holcomb says Indiana is ready.
His comments came on the same day that he ordered 625 Indiana National Guard troops to Washington, D.C. to help with security at Joe Biden’sinauguration.
They are set to be in the Capitol from January 16th to the 22nd. They’ll be part of up to 15,000 Guard members expected to be on duty in the coming days.
