Indiana AG okays longer school bus stop arms

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Local schools across Indiana can add longer stop arms to their school buses.

Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill yesterday said that there are no laws against using larger stop arms.

Some schools in the state are looking to extend the stop arm out into the other lane of traffic to let other drivers know that kids are getting off the bus. Some of the extensions could run as long as six feet.
