Teenager killed by train in Milford

MILFORD, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Milford Police Department and Kosciusko County FACT team are currently investigating a train-pedestrian collision which occurred in Milford last evening. A male subject sustained fatal injuries in the incident.

Milford Police Officers responded to a crash at approximately 6:30 p.m. near the Syracuse Street rail crossing Monday evening. Upon arrival, Officers located a Norfolk & Southern train stopped north of the Syracuse Street crossing. Norfolk & Southern Officials advised that they believed that a male subject entered the path of the train and was struck south of that rail crossing. A male subject was located and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office from injuries sustained in the incident. The male subject was later identified as Samuel Allen Pamer, 16 years of age, of Milford Indiana.

Officers stated that the crash is still currently under investigation. The Milford Police Department was assisted by Kosciusko County FACT, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Syracuse Police Department, Milford Fire Department, and Lutheran EMS.
