WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – House Republicans are unimpressed as the January 6th House committee holds a series of public hearings throughout June.
Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy called it a political exercise and questioned the legitimacy of the House select committee. Speaking to reporters, the California Republican accused Democrats of damaging the House of Representatives.
Indiana Republican Jim Banks called the Democratic-led committee an “unprecedented sham.” Banks is leading a House Republican investigation of last year’s attack on the Capitol.
