MONTICELLO, Ind. (ADAMS) – The rollercoasters at Indiana Beach will be silent this summer.
On Tuesday, the company that owns the amusement park in northern Indiana closed the park.
Indiana Beach had been open for 94 years. White County Economic Development Director Randy Mitchell says the owners could not find a new buyer for the park.
In a statement released Wednesday, the amusement park owners noted that despite recent investments on infrastructure and rides, there has been a steady decline in revenue. The company further stated that they are working with team members to minimize the economic impact on them. Customers are encouraged to visit IndianaBeach.com for more details.
It’s not known what will happen to the 27 people who work there.
