Indiana law enforcement training class paused for COVID outbreak

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The latest class of new police officers at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy is on hold because of a coronavirus outbreak.

Academy director Tim Horty says 10 students tested positive for the virus, and another nine are being retested. In all, there are 117 students in the newest class of cadets. Horty says the majority of them are not vaccinated.

There’s no word on when training will restart.
