Indiana prisons to resume in-person visits

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Inmates inside Indiana’s prisons will soon get to see people from the outside for the first time in almost a year.

On Wednesday, the state’s Department of Corrections said it is going to resume in-person visits.

The return to visitations will roll out in phases. The first people allowed back will be lawyers, then prison volunteers, then family members.

DOC says they’re not yet sure just when everyone will be able to go and see their loved ones behind bars.
