INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) –The Senate Public Policy committee unanimously approved a measure that would repeal Indiana’s prohibition on Sunday alcohol sales.
The measure passed Wednesday on a 9-0 vote. An identical bill was heard earlier by the House Public Policy committee, but it has not held a vote yet.
Each of the bills would allow for Sunday sales between the hours of 12 p.m. and 8 p.m.
A measure that would allow for cold beer sales at big box retailers and convenience stores seems to be a non-starter for the GOP led session.
