FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Actress Jane Seymour will be the featured speaker at this year’s IPFW Tapestry women’s event.
IPFW says Tapestry: A Day for You, is a day of inspiration, renewal, and education for women in all stages of life. It also raises scholarship funds for those studying in College of Health and Human Services at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). In the past 16 years, more than $900,000 has been raised, with 78 students receiving scholarships.
The event is scheduled for Friday, April 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Tickets are $75 per person for open seating or $800 for a table of 10. Corporate tables are also available for $1,200. Tickets will be available online at the IPFW Tapestry website.
Award-winning actress, humanitarian, author, artist and entrepreneur Jane Seymour will be the featured speaker. Best known for her starring role on Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, Seymour is an acclaimed Emmy and Golden Globe winner, mother, grandmother, and modern-day Renaissance Woman. She will share stories of her life and how she learned to embrace life’s challenges, turn them into strengthening tools, and manage even the toughest personal and professional situations. She will inspire you.
Tapestry began in 2002 as a way to enrich the lives of women in northeast Indiana and to raise funds for students studying health sciences. Parkview Health shared this vision by joining forces with IPFW as the founding sponsors. Together, with the support of additional sponsors and the women of Indiana, the event has grown to encompass a full day of inspiration, renewal, and education for all women.
Registration for Tapestry: A Day for You begins Friday, February 23, and will be available online at ipfw.edu/tapestry.
