FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Fire Officials say that a home was heavily damaged by a fire that broke out in the attic. Crews were called around 1:20 a.m. Saturday to find fire and heavy smoke coming from the attic area of a one-story mobile home on the 6400 block of Walnut Valley Drive. Crews were able to bring it under control in about a half hour. The roof was badly damaged. FWFD says that the structure was vacant and no one was hurt during the fire which, remains under investigation.
