Man suffers life-threatening injuries in local hotel stabbing

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say one person has life-threatening injuries after a stabbing Wednesday morning at a hotel in northern Fort Wayne.

FWPD officials released the following just before noon on Wednesday:

“On August 5th, 2020 at approximately 8:31 am officers were dispatched to the Hawthorne Suites Hotel parking lot at 4919 Lima Road for the report of a stabbing. Officers and fire department personnel arrived on the scene and located an adult male, suffering from an apparent stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

At this time Fort Wayne Police Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Units are canvassing the area and speaking with potential witnesses. A person of interest is being interviewed at this time.
