FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Rescue Mission is putting a spotlight on helping the less fortunate during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week to raise awareness about hunger and homelessness in the Fort Wayne area. This week is observed each year, the week before Thanksgiving, and provides an opportunity to help promote the national endeavor to end hunger and homelessness.
“There are many wonderful organizations and individuals in our community who care about the hungry and the homeless,” said Donovan Coley, CEO/Senior Pastor of The Rescue Mission. “We want to do our part in helping individuals have a better understanding of hunger and homelessness so that they will be inspired to take action by volunteering, donating, or getting involved in some other way.”
