Science Central looking to design ‘Little Free Library’

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Science Central says they are looking for an artist/artists to design and fabricate a “Little Free Library”, which they plan to install outside of the building.

The library, sponsored in-part by MHS Indiana, will be a permanent structure at Science Central. They say they want the installation to have a “science or tech look and/or action or motion”. The library will not be locked, so users can access books. It must protect the books from the elements, automatically close, and be accessible to users in all elements. Science Central is planning for a late Summer 2018 installation.

Additional information and the full request for proposals can be found HERE

There is an informational session at Science Central Monday, May 14, 2018, at 4 p.m. to meet with interested artists and try to answer any questions. Final designs and maintenance plans must be submitted by June 15, 2018, at 8 a.m.
