Semi driver, dog okay after crashing on I-69 near Auburn

DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Officials in DeKalb County say that a semi driver and a dog are alright after a crash on I-69 that shut down the southbound lanes of the interstate Tuesday evening.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, Gregory Richards, 65, of Waterford, Ohio was heading southbound around the Auburn exit when he drove off the road and into the median. His semi then rolled onto its side.

The crash shut down the southbound lanes of I-69 for a time. A dog inside the cab was not hurt in the crash. Police say Richards sustained minor cuts to his face but refused medical attention.
