Signal scheduled for activation on S.R. 37 in Allen County Wednesday

ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation says that a new signal is scheduled for activation at the intersection of S.R. 37 and St. Joe Center Road/Irving Road on or after Wednesday, Aug. 14, weather permitting.

Beginning Wednesday morning, INDOT contractor, Shambaugh & Sons, will begin activating the signal. Drivers are encouraged to plan for the new signal and any impacts it may have on their commute.

The signal includes flashing yellow arrows (FYA) on left-turn signals. FYA have been shown to improve traffic flow and reduce waiting times at signals. More information about the flashing yellow left-turn arrow is available on INDOT’s website.
