SILVER SPRING, Md. (ADAMS) – An FDA advisory panel is voting to recommend updating COVID vaccines specifically designed to fight the omicron variant.
The FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee voted 19-to-two in favor of the decision to endorse omicron-specific boosters.
While the FDA is not required to follow committee suggestions, the agency usually does.
