FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The school bus driver shortage in Fort Wayne Community Schools doesn’t seem to be resolving.
The district is reportedly now turning to janitors, lunch ladies, and other school employees to try and get kids to school.
The school district posted on Facebook yesterday that buses were running “extremely late,’ because there were not enough drivers to get kids to school on time. Some kids were up to two hours late.
A school spokesperson says they are now asking school employees if they would fill in as emergency bus drivers. The school district is asking parents for patience as they work through their issues.
