INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Democratic Party will push for marijuana legalization during the next legislative session. In addition to Democrats, Republican State Representative Jim Lucas is also working on two bills that support legalization.
This comes after ten bills to legalize marijuana were filed in 2021 and all failed.
Currently, in Indiana, possession of marijuana is punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a fine of up to $1,000 dollars.
