FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say they were called about several people shooting at each other yesterday evening close to Northrop High School. Officers were called around 6:30 p.m. to the 7400 block of Cold Springs Blvd.
They say one person was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. That man is expected to survive.
Police don’t have many details and are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
The FWPD released the following:
On Tuesday, 05/24/2022, at approximately 6:30 PM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 7400 block of Cold Springs Blvd after receiving several calls regarding individuals actively shooting at each other.
Officers arrived on scene to find that an adult male victim had been transported to a local hospital via private conveyance with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim is reported to be in non-life-threatening condition. Several vehicles on scene were damaged during the incident.
