FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – WeFAM will launch their 1Millon Cuts initiative on June 27th.
It is spearheaded by Dr. Juan Wlliams, CEO of WeFAM, who is on is on a dedicated mission to provide one million vouchers for free haircuts to at-risk children, veterans, and the homeless population.
The goal of the June 27th event is to provide 500 haircuts given by 20 local barbers and will take place from 9 am to 6 pm at the Grand Wayne Center (120 West Jefferson Blvd.)
The event is open to anyone wanting a professional grooming service who needs a boost in their self-confidence and spirit. You can pre-register for a voucher by visiting wefaminc.org or simply show up.
The following was issued by organizers:
”It’s amazing how something so small, that most of us take for granted, can make such a very big difference in the lives of others. Not being able to afford grooming services really has a downward negative effect on self-esteem, especially in children! WeFAM understands this which is why we provide vouchers for free haircuts all year round. We are excited about this launch. The immediate gratification people see when they look themselves in the mirror will be so rewarding and life-changing.”
– Dr. Juan Williams, CEO
WeFAM is a nonprofit organization based in Fort Wayne that has been providing vouchers for free haircuts since 2017. On the back of each voucher is a list of participating barbershops where WeFAM vouchers can be redeemed.
