DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – Police in DeKalb County say that alcohol is suspected as a factor in a single-vehicle crash that injured a woman from Garrett.
Police say that 41-year-old Amanda Faulkner was driving a 2003 Honda Civic eastbound on CR 36 when the car ran off the south side of the road into the ditch.
Police say Faulkner gained control of the vehicle and got back on the roadway, but overcorrected.
Deputies reported that caused the car to spin into the westbound lanes before rolling onto its side.
When police arrived they found that Faulkner was not trapped in the vehicle but she was complaining of back pain. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Her current condition remains unknown. Also not known at this time is what, if any, charges she could face in the crash. Police say the wreck is still under investigation.
