INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation is looking for people who want to help serve fellow Hoosiers this winter.
INDOT will host Winter Seasonal Hiring Events on Wednesday, September 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (local time) at 13 locations across the state.
The events will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations in northeastern Indiana:
Fort Wayne Office – 5333 Hatfield Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46808
Wabash Sub District – 1290 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, IN 46992
Elkhart Sub District – 58905 County Road 9, Elkhart, IN 46517
Winter seasonal positions run between Nov. 1 and April 1 at a starting pay of $20 per hour for full-time operations and $24 per hour for snowplow-only positions. Job duties include performing general highway maintenance, traffic maintenance, snow and ice removal and other duties related to winter operations. A valid CDL is required to be considered for a seasonal role.
Registration is not required to attend the event. Interviews will be conducted on site and INDOT team members will be available to answer questions and provide more information about open positions and careers with the agency.
