FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – October 16 through 22 is National Friends of Libraries Week and the Allen County Public Library Foundation and the Friends of the Allen County Public Library groups are marking the occasion with the launch of a new website.
The website comes at a time when both groups are seeking to increase membership and donations to support the critical work of the ACPL in Allen County. The new website makes it easier than ever for the general community to support the work of the Library through donations of time, talent, and treasure.
The site features descriptions of both the Friends’ and the Foundation’s current projects, goals, and donation/membership. Visitors can toggle easily between the two groups to understand their differences and engage in a way that suits each user.
“Although the Friends and the Foundation operate separately, we recognize the complementary goals of each institution when it comes to supporting the library we all love,” said Richard Beck, Foundation Board Chairperson. “We believe the new website will help us tell that story and engage donors more effectively.”
The website was developed with the assistance of local web development team, Digital Wolf, and was driven by the boards of each entity.
“As we embark on future membership and donor drives, it is imperative that we have the structures in place to meet our supporters where they are,” said Friends of the ACPL President Michael Horton. “We know there is overwhelming community support and we want to make it easier for people to get involved.”
The ACPL Foundation, Friends of the ACPL, and the Library itself invite visitors to explore the new website and become a donor or a Friend today. For more information, visit SupportACPL.org.
