INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The eleven food banks in Indiana will receive $2 million dollars in funding as a result of the state budget.
The Indiana State Department of Agriculture says it is double what the food banks received last year and is a state record.
13 percent of Hoosiers experienced food insufficiency last year, meaning they did not have consistent access to a healthy amount of food.
