According to Rodrigo Prieto, the cinematographer on Killers of the Flower Moon, there’s a scene in the new Martin Scorsese film in which Robert De Niro spanks Leonardo DiCaprio. Prieto revealed to Insider that the Titanic actor wore butt padding while shooting this scene to withstand the impact.
Prieto said the scene is “shocking” and that it wasn’t in the first draft of the script. “I do remember doing them quite a few times and thinking, ‘Oh, that must hurt,'” he said.
“There was some padding on his butt. But you could tell De Niro was really hitting him…Leo is game for so much. He’ll do anything,” Prieto added.
