FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says that an arrest has been made in connection to a fatal shooting at the Villa Capri Apartments last week. The Allen County Coroner says that 31-year-old Antonio Harris died from multiple gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide.
On Monday, the FWPD arrested 23-year-old Joshua Parrish. He is now charged with murder.

On Monday, 12/11/2023 at approximately 1022 hours, 23yo Joshua Parrish, was arrested in a high-risk traffic stop in the area of S. Anthony Blvd and Simons Street in connection to the homicide of Antonio Harris on 12/6/2023 at 1823 Fox Point Trail. The Fort Wayne Homicide Unit conducted the criminal investigation and was assisted in the arrest by the Gang and Violent Crime Unit, the Vice and Narcotics Unit, the Aerial Support Unit, the Uniform Operations Division and the Allen County Prosecutors Office. Joshua Parrish was charged with murder and transported to the Allen County Jail.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the man shot and killed at the Villa Capri Apartments Tuesday. The coroner says that 31-year-old Antonio Harris died from multiple gunshot wounds. His death was ruled a homicide.
Police have not announced any arrests in the case. They are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The autopsy has been completed and notification has been made to the next of kin for the individual found in the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail, in Fort Wayne, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at approximately 20:25 hours. The decedent was pronounced deceased at the scene by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.
He has been positively identified as Antonio Cortez Harris a male, Black, 31 years of age from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Antonio Cortez Harris’ Cause of Death has been determined to be Multiple Gunshot Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Antonio Cortez Harris is the 26th Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2023.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Police Department officials say that one person was killed in a shooting Wednesday night at the Villa Capri Apartments close to Walmart and Menards on the city’s south side.
Officers arrived around 8:30 after calls came in about gunfire on the 1800 block of Fox Point trail. They found a deceased man in the hallway.
The FWPD says that there were no witnesses or word of what happened. Detectives are now combing the area and hoping to find surveillance footage.
Right now, there are no suspects and the victim hasn’t been identified. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

On Dec 6, 2023, at 8:25pm, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a male shot in the hallway of an apartment building in the 1800 block of Fox Point Trail. Officers arrived and found an adult male as reported, suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). Officers provided medical aid until relieved by paramedics, who pronounced the male deceased.
The only information at this point is that several neighbors heard gunshots and called police. Detectives went door to door, canvassing for any witnesses and looking for any video surveillance. Crime Scene Technicians processed the scene, looking for any evidence. There are currently no suspects.
