FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The suspect in a hit-and-run this summer in Fort Wayne is facing a new charge of obstruction of justice for trying to wipe his cell phone of evidence.
WANE-TV reports that 19-year-old Omarion Rogers is accused of driving a Dodge Charger and hitting a 14-year-old boy who was on a bicycle in July. Rogers stayed on the scene and gave a police officer his learner’s permit, but left in the vehicle of a friend or relative who had come to the crash.
The boy who was hurt suffered a traumatic brain injury and broke an arm, ribs, and vertebrae.
