MERCER CO. Ohio (ADAMS) – The Light Ohio Blue Campaign is now underway across the Buckeye State. Residents are asked to display blue lights outside their homes through May 18th to recognize law enforcement officers, particularly those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
In northwest Ohio, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office announced that they will be participating in Light Ohio Blue.
The following was released:
Our office is asking the community to join us and Light Ohio Blue from May 8- 18, 2024, in coordination with National Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15, 2024.
Participation is as simple as replacing your standard light bulb with a blue light bulb on your exterior porch light; light up your entire home or business with blue flood lights; place blue ribbons on your mailbox; and/or wear blue on May 15th. For more information visit LightOhioBlue.org, or find Light Ohio Blue on Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram.
The staff of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all of Mercer County for their continued support of law enforcement, and we hope you join us as we Light Ohio Blue this May!
