On Wednesday, Lana Del Rey and Quavo finally dropped, “Tough,” their hotly anticipated musical collaboration. After performing the song together at Fenway Park on June 20 and teasing its release on social media for weeks, LDR and Quavo officially shared their single at long last. The duo also released a Wyatt Spain Winfrey-directed music video for the track on the same day, which features both Lana and the Migos rapper roaming the picturesque countryside portraying a modern day, music-loving Bonnie and Clyde.
“Tough” is LDR’s first collaboration with a rapper since her chart-topping, Grammy-nominated 2017 album, Lust for Life, which featured collaborations with A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti. Del Rey recently announced her forthcoming country album, Lasso, which is expected to arrive sometime this year. “The music business is going country,” Lana said at the Billboard Songwriter Awards. “We’re going country. It’s happening.” (People)
