During Jelly Roll’s first-ever solo international tour In Toronto on Wednesday night, the country star brought out special guest AJ McLean to help him celebrate the big occasion. At the sold-out 2,500-capacity venue History, Jelly invited the Backstreet Boys’ singer to join him on stage and help him run through the boy band’s Grammy-nominated 1999 single, “I Want It That Way.”
“Get on out here AJ, let’s sing some music for these motherf–kers in Toronto, baby!,” Jelly said emphatically, as McLean surprised everyone in the room by walking on stage and singing in perfect harmony with the country superstar. Jelly shared with the Canadian crowd how much he was enjoying their country. “Technically, this week is officially my international debut. Everything’s been great,” Jelly said. “The weed has been incredible, the people have been great. I never had poutine until yesterday… I’m sorry I was late to the party, but I will take it home and make a tradition of throwing gravy on my fries.” (Billboard)
