INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s statewide gasoline tax is increasing this summer. The tax has gone up by one cent each year since lawmakers increased the tax from 18 cents to 28 cents.
That plan was going to expire next year, but it was recently extended for three more years in the state budget bill signed by Governor Holcomb.
Starting July 1st, the tax will be 34 cents per gallon. That’s in addition to the 7-percent sales tax – which amounts to 20-point-three cents per gallon.
