FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Police in Fort Wayne are investigating after five people were stabbed. Two men were found stabbed on the side of the road early Sunday morning and were taken to the hospital.
That happened at the intersection of Bass and Hillegas Roads around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday. Police were called on reports that men were fighting outside of a vehicle.
Police say that they found Darryl Woolsolk and Darnell Martin with stab wounds. Police later learned that three others arrived at a local hospital with stab injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police say Woolsolk was left with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are working to determine if the stabbings happened in separate incidents or in one location.
Police now say that Darnell R. Martin has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Battery (1 count) and Criminal Reck-Weapon (4 counts).
This investigation is ongoing with the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.

On Sunday, 09/11/2022, at approximately 02:38 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of Bass Road and Hillegas Road in regards to two males on the side of the road suffering with wounds.
Officers arrived on scene to find that there were two adult male victims that appeared to be suffering from stab wounds. The victims were transported to an area hospital where one male is reported to be in non-life-threatening condition and the other is reported to be in life threatening condition at this time.
Officers then found that two other adult male victims and one adult female victim had been transported to an area hospital via private conveyance with apparent stab wounds and were all found to be in non-life-threatening condition at this time.
