Fort Wayne Police Department officials say that a man suspected of robbing a downtown bank has been arrested. After police circulated pictures of the man, employees at a local Walmart spotted him and called authorities on Friday.
The FWPD released the following:
The Suspect for the Armed Robbery of Flagstar Bank at 111 E Wayne St. was arrested on 1/20/23 at Walmart, 7502 Southtown Xing. Employees noticed him and contacted the Fort Wayne Police, he was taken into custody without incident. The Fort Wayne Police Department thanks all those who called in with information.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The FWPD is investigating a bank robbery that happened in downtown Fort Wayne Thursday afternoon.
Fort Wayne Police Department officers responded to Flagstar Bank at 111 E. Wayne St. at 4:40 p.m.
The FWPD did not release many details but they did distribute this photo and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man.
