More than 300 Airmen from the wing have been planning and preparing for the event over the last year. Throughout the week they will be tested on their abilities to respond to a short-notice deployment where they will test their skills in a simulated forward operating location.
“The intent of the exercise is to test combat readiness and mission capabilities of the 122nd Fighter Wing,” said Lt Col Brandi Wallace, Wing Inspector General. “This week’s event is designed to increase the combat readiness and confidence of our Airmen while they perform critical tasks in a rapidly changing, highly contested and degraded environment.”
The Air National Guard is constantly training to serve our state, nation, and local community in times of need. Exercising our skills is essential as we adapt to compete with future challenges.
