FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Rescue Mission plans to recognize and celebrate some of its many volunteers for National Volunteer Week.
Volunteers at our various locations will be recognized with a gift of thank you for their contributions.
The Rescue mission released the following:
Volunteers will be recognized with a thank you gift from Debrand Fine Chocolates and Cookie Cottage Inc. during the meal shifts daily at 404 E. Washington and at our thrift store location, Treasure House located as 10202 Coldwater Road throughout the week.
“What we do here at The Rescue Mission wouldn’t be possible without the help of countless volunteers and hundreds of hours of their time they donate,” said Jay Evans, Manager of Volunteer Engagement. “We are thankful for a national week to recognize them for their servant hearts.”
Volunteers serve meals, build relationships with residents, serve at the front desk, sort donations, stock thrift store shelves and are a vital part of The Rescue Mission operations.
