FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A motorcyclist who was initially in ‘life-threatening’ condition in a crash Tuesday has been upgraded to ‘stable’ condition.
The Fort Wayne Police Department says that the motorcycle was on Dupont Road when an SUV pulled out from a parking lot and hit it close to Auburn.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors.
The FWPD released the following:
On Tuesday June 11th 2024 at approximately 535 pm, Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to Dupont and Auburn for a vehicle crash involving a Motorcycle. The motorcycle was heading East Bound on Dupont road when an SUV exited a near by parking lot into the path of the cyclist.
Medics arrived on scene and the motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital in Life Threatening condition but later upgraded to Stable condition. The occupants of the SUV were treated for minor injuries. Neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be a factor. This incident remains under investigation with the Fort Wayne Police Department Fatal Crash Team and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
