Fresh off of celebrating the military discharge of BTS bandmate, Jin, last week, Jimin has now shared information about his new solo album, MUSE. The 28-year-old singer’s record will feature seven tracks, including the album’s debut single, “Closer Than This,” which was released in December. MUSE is set for release on July 19, only 15-months after the release of Jimin’s 2023 debut solo album FACE, which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
BTS and Jimin’s record label, BigHit Music, shared this statement about the upcoming release on Weverse: “Following his first solo album, ‘FACE,’ where he sought to explore his true identity, ‘MUSE’ documents his journey in search of the source of his inspiration.” The post also says that the new album will reflect, “Jimin’s expanded musical spectrum.” The release of MUSE will coincide with Jilin serving his own 18-month mandatory service in the South Korean military, which he began in December along with bandmates V, Jung Kookm and RM.
