ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation says there will be closures and restrictions for bridge construction over U.S. 30 in the coming weeks.
INDOT says that starting on or after June 26, crews will be working on the U.S. 33 bridge over U.S. 30. Work will take place overnight from Sunday through Thursday, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., until approximately the beginning of September. Drivers heading west on U.S. 30 during the overnight hours will need to seek an alternate route. There will be width restrictions on U.S. 33 over U.S. 30 during this time.
Starting on or after July 8, crews will close the exit ramp from eastbound U.S. 30 to northbound U.S. 33. Drivers needing to access northbound U.S. 33 from this direction will need to continue east on U.S. 30 and use the I-69 interchange to head west on U.S. 30 to then connect with northbound U.S. 33. This closure is also expected to be complete by the beginning of September.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
