VANDERBURGH CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The man accused of providing escaped Lauderdale County prison inmate Casey White and corrections Officer Vickey White with a motel room is under arrest.
“The Courier & Press” reports 51-year-old Shawn Gardner was paid $100 to secure the Motel 41 room in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.
The Whites stayed there until they were found. Sheriff’s officials say Gardner was a homeless man who didn’t know the two were fugitives.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Police in Evansville are sharing their video from Monday’s arrest of that escaped convict out of Alabama and his former jail guard lover.
The City released body camera and dashcam videos yesterday. The video shows the moments after convict Casey White crashed the getaway car, and the moments after his girlfriend shot herself.
Evansville Police also released some video from last week when police first discovered that the two were possibly in the Evansville area.
Casey White, who was already facing capital murder charges, is now charged with escape. He was brought to an Alabama court Tuesday night in an armored caravan.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The 11-day-long manhunt for an escaped inmate and an Alabama jail guard ended in southern Indiana.
The sheriff in Evansville says Alabama corrections officer Vicky White shot herself in the head as officers closed in on them yesterday. She died hours later at the hospital.
Police tracked White and her escaped-convict boyfriend to Vanderburgh County after getting a tip about a car they were driving.
The sheriff in Alabama where the escape took place says the inmate, Casey White, will be brought back to the state and will be shackled in his cell to prevent another escape.
