FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police say that a crash on Coliseum close to Crescent shut down the roadway around 11:20 a.m. on Wednesday.
One person was hurt but is expected to survive following the wreck that police say was caused by someone running a red light.
FWPD officials say a red passenger car was driving north on Crescent Avenue when it ran a red light and hit a work van going eastbound. The impact caused the van to strike two pickup trucks heading westbound.
The female driver of the SUV was initially thought to have critical injuries but was upgraded to non-life-threatening condition at the hospital. No one else was hurt.
All westbound lanes were closed while police investigated and cleared the scene.
