TOLEDO, Ohio (ADAMS) – Highway Patrol troopers stationed in Northwest Ohio and around the state will all be getting body cameras. Governor Mike DeWine and the leader of the highway patrol announced plans yesterday to outfit all officers with the cameras by May of next year.

The governor’s office says the move is aimed at protecting troopers, helping to document crime and accident scenes and promoting public transparency.
