Representatives with Preferred Auto say that Christmas trees are going fast in their annual giveaway. As of Friday morning, there are only around 30 trees left at their three locations.
Representatives encouraged anyone who wants a tree to get there fast.
If anyone in the community is in need of a tree, please stop by and pick one up!

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Preferred Auto will once again be giving away free Christmas trees at their Illinois Road, Lima Road, and State Boulevard locations until all trees are given away. Hundreds of trees will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Preferred Auto has held this event for 28 years, and over 5,000 trees have been given away since its inception.
Founded in 1989 the Preferred Auto Group is one of the Midwest’s largest pre-owned vehicle dealers with locations on Illinois Road, Lima Road, and State Boulevard in Ft. Wayne.
Owner Jay Leonard stated, “For the past 32 years, Preferred Automotive Group has been blessed with community support.” Leonard also said, “We have a lot of giveaways during the year, but this is one of our favorite annual events. If a Christmas tree helps bring joy to some families, then it’s something we’ll do for as long as possible.”
There will be a limit of one tree per vehicle and the event will continue until all trees have been given away. Preferred Automotive Group staff will be loading and securing trees to vehicles. Participating locations: 5005 Illinois Road, 9134 Lima Road, and 615 East State Blvd.
