Tuesday morning crash in DeKalb County sends driver to hospital

DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says that an 18-year-old was taken to the hospital after
a crash on Tuesday morning.

When officers and first responders arrived just before 11:30 a.m., they found his car flipped over.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department, 18-year-old Tyler Caudill was heading westbound on CR 28 approaching an “S” curve near County Road 00W.

According to a report, Caudill drove toward the curve at a “high rate of speed” and failed to navigate the first curve, causing his vehicle to go off the road, flip over, and land on its roof.

Caudill complained of back and chest pain and was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

The DeKalb Co. Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Noble Co. Sheriff’s Office, Corunna Fire Dept., and Parkview EMS.
